Design work is set to be underway on the bridge crossing of the 16.3 km (10.1 miles) Bradford Bypass, also known as the Highway 400–404 Link.
The bypass is a highway connecting Highway 400 and Highway 404 and will be undertaken by AECOM Canada Ltd. It is part of Ontario’s plan to expand highways and public transit across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
The Bradford Bypass will be a vital link for communities in York Region and Simcoe County, providing better connections to jobs and housing. During construction, the project is expected to support up to 2,200 jobs annually and contribute up to $286 million to the province’s GDP.
