
Later this month, the Toronto Wood Solutions Fair will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Attendees to the November 25 event will learn about changes affecting the Ontario Building Code (OBC), which comes into effect January 1, 2015. These changes will allow wood-frame construction for buildings reaching six storeys in the province.
There will also be 17 seminars for attendees to choose from, including:
● “Fire Resistance Rating Information and Tools for Wood Buildings;”
● “From Small to Tall: The Road to the Wood Innovation Design Centre;”
● “Design with Cross-laminated Timber in Dense City Environments;” and
● “Overview of the new Midrise Handbook.”
