Vancouver Chapter explores Passive House

On Thursday, March 14, the Vancouver Chapter[1] is having a lunch meeting at Sandman Hotel[2]. Monte Paulsen (RDH Building Science) will present on “Passive House Toolbox.”

Paulsen leads the Passive House team at RDH. He also helped setup the nonprofit Passive House Canada[3]. His presentation will answer the following questions:

what is Passive House;
what is the Passive House standard;
how similar/different is it to British Columbia’s 2012 building code;
why Passive House is growing in the province;
why form factor matters to PH projects; and
how to plan a Passive House project?
