Toronto roofing show attracts thousands

Last week, the country’s largest roofing expo hit the Toronto area with more than 100 exhibitors and seven hands-on demonstrations.

Taking place April 23 and 24 at Mississauga’s International Centre, the 11th biennial ROOFTech drew in more than 2600 attendees over two days. Each morning began with a seminar—Tuesday had “The Realities of Reroofing a Vegetated Roof” while Wednesday featured “FM Approvals: Setting the Standard in Third-Party Certification.”

The show is presented by the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and Informa Canada. The next ROOFTech is set to take place in Vancouver in 2015.

The 2013 edition of ROOFTech attracted more than 2600 architects, specifiers, building inspectors, contractors, engineers, property managers, and roofing consultants to the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
