Last week, the country’s largest roofing expo hit the Toronto area with more than 100 exhibitors and seven hands-on demonstrations.
Taking place April 23 and 24 at Mississauga’s International Centre, the 11th biennial ROOFTech drew in more than 2600 attendees over two days. Each morning began with a seminar—Tuesday had “The Realities of Reroofing a Vegetated Roof” while Wednesday featured “FM Approvals: Setting the Standard in Third-Party Certification.”
Additionally, there were hands-on demonstrations taking place on the show floor that included:
- green roofing;
- modified bitumen (mod-bit) systems;
- built-up roofs (BUR); and
- steep slope assemblies.
The show is presented by the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and Informa Canada. The next ROOFTech is set to take place in Vancouver in 2015.
