David Adjaye designs memorial to honour victim of police violence

Ghanian-British architect Sir David Adjaye has designed a memorial in Brixton, south London, U.K., to honour Cherry Groce, an innocent mother who was shot in her home by the Metropolitan Police. The incident, which took place on September 28, 1985, was witnessed by her children.

Architectural and design firms selected for West Memorial Building renovation project

The federal government is moving forward with the renovation of the West Memorial Building in Ottawa aiming to make the structure as green as possible while respecting its heritage character. Moriyama & Teshima Architects and Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning were awarded a $14.2 million contract to provide design and architectural services for the project.
