Edmonton Chapter offers PCD and CCA courses

On January 8, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC begins the spring 2018 edition of the Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) and Construction Contract Administration (CCA) courses. Held at the office of DIALOG from 6 to 9 p.m., the PCD program runs for 10 weeks. The CCA course, held at IBI Group’s office, runs for 11 weeks

Edmonton focuses on education and curling

On January 8, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC will begin its Specifier (SP) and Technical Representative (TR) courses. Running from 6 to 9 p.m., the 15-week Specifier course will be held at Stantec and the 11-week TR program will be at Stoncor Group. The Chapter is also hosting a curling social. On January 18, it is hosting the 2018 CSC YEG Curling Funspiel at the Shamrock Curling Club. The event, which includes dinner, runs from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, November 23, the Edmonton Chapter is hosting a networking night at Metro Billiards from 5:30 to 8 p.m. MST. The Chapter is also organizing a breakfast meeting on December 14. Nick Trovato (Read Jones Christoffersen) will present on “Building Envelopes: What could possibly go wrong?”

On Tuesday, November 14, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC is organizing a breakfast meeting. Corbin Devlin from McLennan Ross will talk about “Indemnity Provisions.” The presentation will cut through the legalese of typical indemnity provisions and discuss what is reasonable and what to watch out for. On Thursday, November 23, the chapter is organizing a networking event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Metro Billiards near Edmonton’s Ice District.
