Eight projects have been recognized for their sustainable designs with the 2014 Canadian Green Building Awards.

Presented by Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and Sustainable Architecture and Building (SABMag), winners are chosen by a jury panel of industry experts. Both residential and non-residential projects were awarded and they all demonstrate excellence in high-performance building design, architectural merit, and technical innovations.

This year’s winners, which include two projects profiled in Construction Canada magazine, are:
● One Planet House Reno (Ottawa);
VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre (Vancouver);
● Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (Vancouver);
● Mountain Equipment Co-op Store (North Vancouver);
● Bibliothèque du Boisé (St. Laurent, Montréal);
CANMET Materials Technology Laboratory (Hamilton);
● University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Bio-Energy Building (Prince George, British Columbia); and
● Goldcorp Mining Innovation Suite, Lassonde Mining Building at University of Toronto.
