On Tuesday, May 2, CSC’s Toronto Chapter is hosting its regular dinner meeting, which will also feature an overall general introduction to stainless steel.
The talk, led by Scott Haddy, BSc, MISC, CSC (CFF Stainless Steels Inc.), addresses myths and truths about the material, along with a brief history, chemistry, mechanical properties, mill test certificates, finishes, corrosion, and selection factors, along with a look at the 300 series—the common class of stainless steels.
It takes place at the Toronto Skating, Curling, and Cricket Club,[1] with cocktails beginning at 5:15 p.m., the annual chapter meeting starting at 6:00, and dinner and the technical presentation to follow.
