There is still limited space for those interested in taking CSC Edmonton’s Principles in Construction Documentation (PCD) or Construction Contract Administrator (CCA) courses.
The PCD, kicking off January 9, will run 10 weeks on Mondays, from 6 to 9 p.m. It serves as an introduction to the basics and understanding of the collaboration between specifications and drawings. Its successful completion is mandatory to achieve the CCCA, Certified Technical Representative (CTR), and Certified Specifications Practitioner (CSP) designations. The successful completion of PCD can also be credited toward the specification writing experience required to obtain the Registered Specifications Writer (RSW) designation. The CCA course runs at the same date and time as PCD, but lasts an additional week. Its objective is to improve construction administration by providing education related to the administration and enforcement of contract requirements during the construction phase. This advanced-level course is designed for those individuals involved in construction administration, including contract administrators, property managers, architects, engineers, interior designers, specification consultants, building authorities, and bonding and insurance agencies To sign up, click here.[2]
