After sold-out sessions earlier this year, Ontario Woodworks announced the addition of two encore “Resources for Ontario Mid-Rise” workshops.
The group published a new reference guide, Mid-rise Wood Construction in the Ontario Building Code (OBC) earlier this year and developed workshops based on the guide. Due to the popularity of the sessions, the group decided to hold two more. The first will take place June 16 at the Paramount Conference and Event Centre in Toronto, while the second takes place the following day at Laurentian University in Sudbury.
Speakers will explain new provisions to the OBC affecting mid-rise wood-frame construction, present case study examples, and discuss design strategies. The presenters include:
- Glenn Somerton, senior code specialist at Morrison Hershfield;
- Michael Baldinelli, principal of large buildings at Strik Badinelli Moniz (SBM); and
- Paul Stevens, senior principal at ZAS Architects and Interiors.
The workshops cost $199 (plus HST) and include breakfast, lunch, and a copy of the reference guide. To register, click here.
