The Pôle Multimodal Vendôme, in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood, has won an architectural design award at the 2023 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) in the transportation category. The award recognizes the metro project’s impact on architecture and urban connectivity.
Judged by an international panel of experts, the Bisson Fortin and Provencher_Roy consortium project was lauded for its fluidity and intuitive orientation, as well as its use of materials that respect the area’s architectural heritage and the distinct character of Montreal’s metro network. It was also praised for its functional design and integration into the urban environment.
The AMP is the latest in a series of accolades for the Vendôme Multimodal Hub since its summer debut of 2022. Previous awards include four certificates at the Grand Prix du Design 2023, several awards from the American Concrete Institute (ACI)—including the ACI Excellence Award in the infrastructure category and multiple mentions for innovative use of concrete, durability, and resilience—as well as a mention from the Association Béton Québec (ABQ).
