Sainte-Flore, Que., welcomes Hotel Floriel, a Presbytery-turned-micro-hotel with seven rooms, each with a curated experience of upscale brands, local designs, and distinct themes.

Expanding on principles of experiential lifestyle incubators, the new hotel blurs the lines between high-end boutique stays and showrooms, allowing guests to explore and buy curated items for their homes. This includes anything from mattresses in the guest rooms to decor displayed across the hotel, thanks to a network created by owners Audrey Boisvert and Gabriel Wasilko with local artisans and manufacturers.

Located near Mauricie National Park, Hotel Floriel’s rooms and common spaces are curated to be reflections of the region’s forests and rivers. Further, each room has a similar architectural layout, but distinct colours, textures, furnishings, and textiles set them apart. This allows guests to experiment with different design types, all of which draw from nature’s hues and seasonal rhythms.
