A mixed-use site in Burnaby, B.C.’s Brentwood Town Centre will soon be transformed into a four-phased, master-planned community.
Anthem Properties Group Ltd. and Kingsett Capital will redevelop the 3.37-ha (8.34-acre) site—currently occupied by vacant commercial and industrial buildings—in alignment with Burnaby’s Official Community Plan.
The incoming complex will include 2100 market condominiums, 340 rental units, and 5574 m2 (60,000 sf) of new retail and office space across five residential towers and two wood-framed mid-rise buildings.
The site is viewed as a major green node—with all phases built around a 0.4-ha (1-acre) park—and will serve as both a town centre destination and a key linkage between the Brentwood SkyTrain Station and the Urban Trail.
The rezoning plan for the entire property is close to final approval and phase one sales are anticipated to commence later this year. This will be Anthem’s second development within the Brentwood Town Centre plan.
