Job Duties:

·       Blueprint Interpretation - Analyze and understand specifications from blueprints, drawings, and sketches.

·       Layout Preparation- Develop layouts that adhere to building codes, utilizing precise measuring tools.

·       Material Handling - Measure, cut, shape, and assemble various materials like wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and others.

·       Construction Task - Carry out tasks such as building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

·       Trim Installation- Skillfully fit and install trim items, including doors, stairs, molding, and hardware.

·       Maintenance and Renovation- Undertake maintenance, repair, and renovation activities for residences and wooden structures in diverse settings

·       Supervision- Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other construction workers.

·       Other - May need to engage in the preparation of cost estimates for clients.

Skills requirement: Completion of secondary school is encouraged. Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience in the trade
