January luncheon – infection prevention and control: The contribution of flooring in healthcare

Meghan McBride, the Vice-President, Strategic Accounts- Healthcare, Education & Government for the Canadian division of Tarkett. Fifteen years ago Meghan began her journey with the Healthcare built environment. Through a series of career progressions, Meghan has held several roles within the multidisciplinary team focusing on the design and construction of large-scale Acute Care Facilities through the AFP/ P3 delivery model. She has a track record of successfully delivering solutions – striking a balance between human-centred design, operational goals, and contractual requirements. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from Ryerson University, is EDAC and LEED AP ID+C certified. She is a member of IDC, ARIDO and the CSC where she held the position of Interior Design Officer in the Toronto Chapter from 2016-2019.
Summary of Presentation & Learning Objectives
Introduction of qualitative factors in lighting systems design process from creating the concept to illumination. Overview of disinfection effect of the non-visual spectrum of light and related design and safety considerations. Tarkett segment Vice-President, Meghan McBride is a subject matter expert on the IPAC changes that have come with the pandemic. She will discuss these topics and more during our session on Infection Prevention and Control:  The Contribution of Flooring in the Healthcare Environment.
