This month, North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) celebrates 80 years in the insulation industry.
The organization, which includes a Canadian division, promotes energy-efficiency in buildings as well as safe production of fibreglass, rock-wool, and slag-wool insulation products. Additionally, NAIMA provides technical assistance for standards, health and safety research, and training programs for various insulation products.
“NAIMA has a strong history of promoting the benefits of fibreglass and rock-wool insulation to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs,” the group’s Stacy Fitzgerald-Redd told Construction Canada Online. “In the coming year, NAIMA will increase its focus on advancing the performance, sustainability, value versatility, and safety of fibreglass and rock wool, while we continue our work toward advancing legislation and support of strong building codes that help companies and consumers decrease their carbon footprint and their costs by optimizing energy efficiency with fiber glass and rock wool insulation.”
Through NAIMA’s work, they are able to speak for architects, builders, engineers, and environmental groups involved in the industry.
