Aptly named Khupkhahpay’ay, meaning “cedar tree” in the Squamish language, the vision behind the building’s exterior draws inspiration from the intricate craftsmanship of traditional woven baskets. It symbolizes a harmonious blend of cultural heritage and modern architecture. With its design, this building will become a striking addition to Vancouver’s skyline, proudly reflecting the cultural significance of the Squamish Nation.
