The Jackson, Wyo., campus of the Teton Science Schools, was designed for low impact on the environment. Metal was chosen for the roof and some walls based on lifecycle costs, low maintenance, and appearance. The campus sits on the edge of a national forest so the high level of fire protection provided by the metal roofing was also important.
