For over 60 years, Bezdan Railing Solutions has been a national distributor of architectural railing systems.
The presentation will focus on sections of the code related to railings and guards, and answer the following questions:
- When and why did the code change to limit railings and guards to vertical pickets and solid panels?
- How did the code eventually change to allow horizontal railings?
- How do cable railings meet code?
Samples of cable railing systems will be shown to gain familiarity with their construction and functionality.
Shawn and Darwin are based in Vancouver, BC and are readily available to answer questions and provide guidance on horizontal cable systems.
