A snowy street scene depicts a historical building with a modern architectural extension. People are seen walking on the snowy path, some carrying bags, while two children play with a sled nearby. The building displays posters on its walls, and leafless trees frame the foreground, creating a serene winter atmosphere.[1]

The federal government has invested an additional $12 million under the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program in the Sydney Street former courthouse in Saint John, N.B.

The new funding allows for the expanded redesign of the project, which will triple the size of the existing structure. It will result in an expanded performing arts facility, rehabilitating the old heritage courthouse on Sydney Street into a modern, inclusive, and accessible art space.

The new facility will have a 250-seat venue, a secondary performance space, and creative, rehearsal, training, and administrative spaces.

The transformed courthouse will house a range of cultural events and bring opportunities for professional theatre artists to advance their careers, as well as training opportunities for theatre artists at all levels.
