On March 20, the Grand Valley Chapter[1] will hold a lunch seminar on “Designing for Accessibility” with guest speaker Joyce Barlow. Held at the office of the Grand Valley Construction Association[2] (GVCA), the event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The session is expected to explain the principle differences between the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Building Code (OBC). A few real-life examples of accessible design in physical space will also be analyzed. Additionally, participants will receive a comprehensive list of resources, including material and design specifications, on accessibility features and elements.

For more information, e-mail the Chapter[3]. Last date to signup is Tuesday, March 19. To register, click here[4].
