Four-storey mass timber office building coming to Toronto

The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority[2] (TRCA) is getting $2 million from Natural Resources Canada[3] (NRCan) for a four-storey mass timber office building in Toronto.
Bucholz McEvoy Architects[4] will design the building along with ZAS Architects[5].
Once completed, the office will be a net-zero, energyefficient building. The structure will be built with glue-laminated (glulam) timber.
“This incredible project will demonstrate the benefits of using timber in the construction of commercial buildings,” said Judy Sgro, member of parliament, Humber River–Black Creek. “It will help make Toronto a more sustainable and liveable community while supporting the development of new markets for Canada’s forest industry.”
The building is being designed for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum, the WELL building standard, Toronto Green Standard (TGS) v3, and is a Canada Green Building Council[6] (CaGBC) Net Zero Carbon Pilot Project.
