The governments of Canada and the Northwest Territories have finalized a 10-year agreement under the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF).

Through this agreement, communities across the Northwest Territories will be able to build or improve critical infrastructure related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste, which, in turn, will help them build more homes. Canada will provide the Northwest Territories with $74.2 million.
