by | February 28, 2017 11:38 am

The Winnipeg Chapter of CSC is hosting a lunch meeting at the Caboto Centre[1] on Wednesday, March 8 to discuss fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) technology in structural strengthening as well as repurposing of building members.

The presentation, by Gary Fisher, P.Eng. (Sika), includes the manufacturing process along, with different styles of FRP, such as glass and carbon. Some of the country’s first FRP construction projects were done here in Winnipeg so their applications are definitely relevant to local design/construction professionals.

The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon. RSVPs are accepted until 4 p.m. on Friday, March 3 by e-mailing Gord French. To register, click here[2].
