The Vancouver Chapter[1] is presenting on “Beyond Greenwashing: Designing for a Carbon Neutral Green Roofing System” on Thursday, February 4, from 12 to 1 p.m. on Zoom.
Collin Tougas, design engineer with RJC Engineers, and Pearl Yip, BCSLA, CSLA, landscape architect, will present on the carbon offsetting potential of the living components in the green roofing assembly. They will compare various sizes and layouts for green roofing and explore the impact of reusing certain materials and using lower embodied carbon products.
A registration email with call-in details will be sent out the evening before (Wednesday, February 3).
The cost is $10 plus GST for pre-registered CSC members/association executive directors and $20 plus GST for non-members.
Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) members will receive 1 Core Learning Unit for attending this event.
