On Thursday, October 12, the Vancouver Chapter of CSC[1] is organizing a meeting on “Elevators—Cutting Through the Jargon.” Held at Sandman Hotel[2] in Downtown Vancouver, the luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ray DeMeyer (Vertech Elevator Services) will touch upon a variety of topics—from the various types of elevators and elevating devices available to relevant codes and regulations, differing and emerging technologies, and other unique elevator requirements one might encounter on a new or existing building project. One Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) learning unit is available for this event.
