CSC Toronto presents on acoustical changes to OBC

The Toronto Chapter will be discussing acoustic changes to the Ontario Building Code (OBC) on October 8 at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club[1] from 5:15 to 7 p.m.

Nicholas Sylvestre-Williams, a principal with Aercoustics Engineering[2], will present on the acoustics-related changes to OBC, provide an introduction to transmission loss, sound class transmission (STC), and apparent sound transmission class (ASTC), connect these concepts to the new code, and discuss the impact of these code changes on design and construction.
