On Wednesday, November 19, the Toronto Chapter of CSC is hosting a one-day conference to explore “The Science of Building.”
Held at the Old Mill (21 Old Mill Road) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the event features a line-up of some of the most respected names in building materials and specifications. Sessions include:
● George Torok, CET, BSSO (Morrison Hershfield) on thermal performance modelling for new building design;
● Ted Kesik, PhD, P.Eng. (University of Toronto) on ‘lean’ and ‘green’ building science;
● CSC president Keith Robinson, FCSC, RSW, LEED AP (Dialog) on reducing cost and liability with good specifications; and
● John Straube, PhD, P.Eng. (Building Science Consulting Inc.) on current research regarding the future of building performance.
The $150 registration[1] (plus HST) includes parking, continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments.
