On December 5, the Toronto Chapter[1] of CSC is organizing a dinner at Toronto Skating, Curling, and Cricket Club[2], beginning at 5:15 p.m. Keith Calder and Allie Gilkes (Jensen Hughes[3]) will talk about “Fire Protection for High-rise Buildings—Ontario Standards and Codes.”

The presentation will outline common fire spread mechanisms in mid- and high-rise buildings and provide a general review of some fire incidents. Key measures in the Ontario Building Code (OBC) that limit growth and spread of fire within a building and on the exterior of the building will also be discussed.

Registration[4] closes on December1. For more information, contact Chapter members Laura Herbert[5] or Bruce Hudson[6].
