On Thursday, March 22, CSC’s Regina Chapter[1] will hold a luncheon meeting on climate change. Held at Royal Regina Golf Club from 12 to 1 p.m., the event will feature a presentation by Darryl Dormuth (Associated Engineering) on “How Climate Change Affects the Design of Public Infrastructure.”

It will provide an overview of climate change with a focus on why one needs to look at things differently when assessing the effects of extreme weather on public infrastructure. Dormuth will explain the results of a screening assessment his company recently performed on the design of infrastructure components (e.g. roadways, water distribution, and sanitary and stormwater collection) for a commercial subdivision in Regina.
