On Thursday, January 22, the Hamilton/Niagara Chapter of CSC is presenting a technical discussion on gypsum board and suspended ceiling assemblies.
The presentation will be led by two CSC members—CGC’s Brian Dobbins, CTR, and Enercorp.’s Chris Davidson, CTR. It delves into a background history of wallboard types and how they are tested for resistance against abuse, water, mould, and fire. There will also be a review of drywall suspension systems and acoustical ceiling panel terminology, with special attention paid to benefits of acoustical ceiling panel sub-straights, seismic and fire-rated applications, and possibilities with integrated systems.
Held at the Arnie on Mohawk College’s Fennell Campus, the luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Admission is $25 per person (cash or cheque payable to CSC Hamilton/Niagara Chapter). For more information on attending (or sponsoring opportunities), contact Terry Johnson[1].
