CSC Hamilton-Niagara presents on acoustic changes to OBC

The Hamilton-Niagara Chapter[1] is holding an online presentation on acoustic changes to the Ontario Building Code (OBC) on Wednesday, November 25, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Nicholas Sylvestre-Williams and Kiyoshi Kuroiwa from Aercoustics Engineering[2] will be speaking at the event. This presentation will focus on upcoming changes to OBC pertaining to acoustics with an introduction to the concepts of transmission loss, sound transmission class (STC) and apparent sound transmission class (ASTC), and connecting these concepts to what the new code brings and their impact on design and construction.

This is a structured learning event and participation certificates will be made available for learning credits.
