On Tuesday, November 18, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC will be hosting a breakfast that includes a look at the upcoming changes being implemented for the new National Building Code of Canada (NBC).
Held at the University of Alberta’s Lister Conference Centre, the event features speaker Les Muniak, who works on large-scale building projects as a building code, fire protection, and life safety consultant for local, national, and international architects, engineers, building owners, developers, government agencies, lawyers and contractors. Over his 30-year career, he has worked with clients on hundreds of building code and fire protection projects across Canada, United States, and the Middle East. Many of these projects required him to pioneer new techniques in fire protection and building code compliance. Muniak has developed fire analysis computer techniques, conducted fire investigations, acted as consultant for legal counsel, and presented various building code training courses.
Tickets are available at the early bird price of $30 until November 10. The event kicks off at 7 a.m., running until 9 a.m.
