CSC Calgary examines structural glass

The next luncheon meeting of CSC’s Calgary Chapter, held on Wednesday, April 26, will be a special glass-focused gathering co-hosted by the Alberta Building Envelope Council (ABEC) and the Glass and Architectural Metals Association (GAMA).

The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Winston Club[1] (formerly the Calgary Elks Lodge and Golf Club). Andrew Crosby, P. Eng. (Read Jones Christoffersen), will explore use of glass as both a structural material and main component of a building enclosure. Designs employing structural glass allow for breathtaking structures and façades free of aluminum or steel reinforcement. Key points of the presentation include:
