On Tuesday, October 18, the Calgary Chapter of CSC is hosting a dinner meeting that explores the design and construction of concrete parking structures.
The event, kicking off at the Calgary Elks and Golf Club[1] at 5:30 p.m., will feature guest speaker Bryan Colvin, B.Sc., P.Eng., a principal with Read Jones Christofferson Consulting Engineers. His presentation will cover the background behind the development of CSA S413, Parking Structures, including the design philosophies and key issues involving parking structure performance and durability in operation. The talk reviews design requirements for materials and detailing for new parking structures along with evaluation, maintenance, and repairs of existing parking structure facilities.
