CLT discussion for the Grand Valley Chapter

On February 18, the Grand Valley Chapter of CSC is holding a lunch presentation to educate on techniques for designing and constructing with cross-laminated timber (CLT).

The presentation concentrates on this structural wood product’s benefits and manufacture. Speaker Raymond Ing (Nordic EWP) will review the various factors to be considered by design professionals and examine cost factors effecting the selection and use of CLT on building construction projects.

The event, which costs $20 for members and $25 for non-members, will be held at the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) offices (25 Sheldon Dr.) in Cambridge, Ont. It runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Jane Fish.
