Chandos Construction appoints new executives

National contractor Chandos Construction has appointed Tim Coldwell, P.Eng., as president and Sean Penn as chief operating officer.

Coldwell has been with Chandos for nearly 20 years. He started in the firm’s Edmonton office, and has progressed through a variety of positions including project co-ordinator, manager, and director, district manager, and vice-president. Coldwell is a board member of the Citadel Theatre and the Edmonton Construction Association (ECA).

Penn also has a nearly 20-year career at Chandos. He began his career as a carpenter in Chandos’ Edmonton office before being promoted to superintendent with oversight of Chandos’ field operations in Ontario. Penn then moved back to Alberta progressing through a variety of positions including project manager, operations manager, district manager, and vice-president. Penn lends his time and talent to the construction industry as a board member of the Calgary Construction Association (CCA).
