The CSC Edmonton Chapter is organizing the Wheels for Wheelz Car Rally to benefit the Stephanie Wertz Education Fund (SWEF).

For a registration fee of $75 (+GST), teams—consisting of a driver, a navigator, and up to two additional members—will make their way through the course, armed with GPS. Beginning at J. Percy Page High School (2707 Millwoods Rd.) with an 11:30 a.m. registration[1], teams leave five minutes apart, with all check points having synchronized times for a consistent record. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the closest time to an average measured by volunteers.

CSC members are encouraged to come out and support the car rally teams at the start and finish lines (Servus Place St.  Albert) After the race, there will be a barbecue at 2:30 p.m., along with a Roller Derby double-header—St. Albert Beelzebubs takes on Battleford at 5 p.m., followed by the St. Albert ArchAngels versus the Calgary Roller Derby Association All-Stars (CRDA). Admission to watch the roller derby matches is $10 at the door.

A CSC member, Stephanie was 27 when she passed away in March of 2011.
