Next month, the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) brings its national conference and expo to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. From June 11 to 13, the 10th anniversary of the country’s biggest gathering of sustainability-focused building professionals and decision-makers will attract more than 1000 attendees and over 100 exhibitors.
The event’s theme, “Beyond Buildings: The Green City,” emphasizes the implementation of sustainable design and operations on a larger scale beyond any one individual project. A diverse stream of accredited continuing education seminars is being offered—design/construction professionals can select from more than 30 continuing education sessions, featuring leading thinkers and experts from across Canada. These are organized among six comprehensive streams:
The conference, chaired by John Campbell (CEO, Waterfront Toronto) and honorary chair Michael McSweeney (CEO, Cement Association of Canada) also features three special keynote speakers:
Full delegate passes are $600 and $900 (plus HST) for CaGBC members and non-members, respectively. CaGBC is also offering pre-conference workshops and tours. For more information, or to see the full program, visit www.cagbc.org/2012conference[1].
