The QEII Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project is a state-of-the-art design that supports the long-term health and well-being of Nova Scotia’s growing community. Arcadis and B+H Architects are the lead designers for this massive project.
The 111,500 m2 (1.2 million sf) state-of-the-art acute care facility will revamp the province’s healthcare delivery, featuring 216 inpatient beds, 16 operating rooms, a new intensive care unit, and a larger emergency department. Designed and constructed on the existing site, the new facility will integrate with the current hospital’s facilities.
The project is a key component of Nova Scotia’s QEII Health Sciences Centre redevelopment, aiming to enhance health-care infrastructure and services for the province’s growing population.
Designed to achieve LEED certification, it reflects a commitment to the values of the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
