CSC is hosting its Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) course from November 22 to 26 in Toronto. The program will provide participants with a better understanding of construction documentation (specifications, drawings, and schedules), products, bidding procedures, and contracts.
The association will also be running a Construction Contract Administrator (CCA) course from March 21 to 25 in Toronto. PCD is a prerequisite for this program, which is designed for individuals involved in construction administration—including contract administrators, property managers, architects, engineers, interior designers, specification consultants, building authorities, and bonding and insurance agencies. This course is a requirement for the certified construction contract administrator (CCCA) designation.
Finally, the CSC Specifier course—held March 19 to 25—is open for registration. This comprehensive overview of the construction specification profession in Canada offers attendees a solid grasp of a specifier’s role, legal issues (e.g. contracts, bidding and disputes, and writing style used in the profession), and how to close out a project. A wide range of professional scenarios are explained, often using real-life examples. This course is mandatory for becoming a certified specification practitioner (CSP). It also reduces the number of hours required to become a registered specification writer (RSW).
