Renowned environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been announced as a keynote speaker for the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) National Conference and Expo.
The event, taking place June 4–6 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, will feature numerous sustainability speakers and networking events. There are also education session streams, covering topics from green neighbourhoods and building materials to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
The special guest at this year’s gala, Kennedy is a well-known environmental advocate; he is the senior attorney for the U.S. Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and chief prosecuting attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper. Kennedy is the president-at-large of the Waterkeeper Alliance, and a partner on the CleanTech investment team of Silicon Valley’s VantagePoint Capital Ventures.
The conference also features sustainability planning expert Jeb Brugmann as the opening plenary speaker. Registration can be found online at www.cagbc.org.
