CSC Vancouver explores health, transparency, and product declarations

On Thursday, April 13, the Vancouver Chapter of CSC is hosting its luncheon and general meeting, which will include a look at health and transparency in product declarations.

Presented by Mona Narayan, RID, IDIBC, IDC (Forbo Flooring NA), the talk will help attendees identify and differentiate emerging practices involved in quantifying the environmental impacts of building materials and products. It teaches how to:
● identify and differentiate emerging practices involved in quantifying the environmental impacts of building materials and products;
● investigate and distinguish between toxicity to the environment and toxicity to human health;
● explore the role of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and other initiatives as part of green building certification programs; and
● evaluate specific programs that address Health Product Declarations (HPDs) and the relative toxicity of materials.

It takes place at the Sandman Hotel at 11:30 a.m. For more information, click here.
