On Thursday, March 9, the Vancouver Chapter of CSC is hosting a luncheon discussion to examine British Columbia’s three-year-old Limitation Act, delving into its impact on the province’s construction industry.
Presented by Marina Pratchett, QC, a partner with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, practising for more than three decades, the talk will address the unintended consequences of adding ‘legal’ language to specifications, along with a waiver of liability against the consultant to a general contractor’s supplementary conditions.
The event takes place at the Sandman Hotel, in the ballroom through the back of the Moxie’s. It kicks off with a full-course buffet at 11:30 a.m., with the meeting concluding by 1:30 p.m. CSC Vancouver is a registered Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) provider, and this presentation has been approved for one core Learning Unit (LU).
