On Tuesday, November 8, CSC Edmonton will host a morning talk that delves into proper lightning protection system design and application as it conforms with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Participants at the meeting, held at the Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., will gain a general understanding of how these assemblies work, including the five essential elements of effective lightning protection systems. At the end of the program, led by Simon Larter—a Lightning Protection Institute [LPI] Certified Master Installer—attendees will be aware of the considerations that should be made during project planning to specify effective, attractive, and low-maintenance lightning protection systems for all types of structures.
