CSC London Chapter discusses drones

On Tuesday, October 25, CSC’s London Chapter is hosting a dinner meeting at Saffron’s Culinary School Restaurant to discuss unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)—that is, drones.

Adam Debevc (Aerial Scout) will discuss how drone-based data-collection systems have found a home in commercial use in diverse applications. His presentation will include topics relating to pre-construction surveys, documenting construction progress, and inspecting difficult or dangerous to access areas. Debevc will also explore the type of equipment used and explore the flight regulations set by Transport Canada.

Saffron’s is located on Fanshawe College’s A-block. The event, which begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., costs $45 per person. For more information, contact Kees Govers. To register, visit http://www.karelo.com/register.php?BID=531&BT=10&Ev=16678.
