The Concrete Council of Canada has been formed to bring together national and provincial associations from across the country’s cement and concrete industry.

The overall goal of the council is to promote the industry’s contributions to sustainable construction as well as the material’s value, available products, and systems.

“The council will nurture and enhance the existing and future capabilities of the cement and concrete industry to co-ordinate our efforts, both internally and externally, particularly with other key sectors and stakeholders to tackle the collective public challenge of building safe, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure and to keep Canadian communities strong and prosperous,” the group’s chair, Robert Burak, told Construction Canada Online.

Cement, ready-mixed and precast concrete, and concrete pavers and pipe industry segments are represented in the council. Members include Cement Association of Canada (CAC), Association Béton Quebec (ABQ), Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI), and Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario (RMCAO). Click here for a full list of members.
