North America-based construction firm Aecon’s consortiums were recently granted contracts for three projects in British Columbia.
The first project, the BC Highway Reinstatement Program, will be undertaken by Aecon-Emil Anderson Construction General Partnership (AEGP), a 50/50 consortium between Aecon and Emil Anderson Construction. Construction is estimated to be completed by 2026.
The second project, the R.W. Bruhn Bridge Replacement Project, will include building a new four-lane bridge with a multi-use pedestrian and cyclist path connecting to the Trans-Canada Highway and widening the highway to four lanes. Construction is to be completed by 2027.
The third project, the Holdom Overpass Project, will be undertaken by Aecon GIG General Partnership, a 50/50 consortium between Aecon and Gateway Infrastructure Group. Work includes the design and construction of a new four-lane overpass, which will be completed by 2027.
