The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) Construction Monitor Q2 2024 released their annual report which shows overall growth remains positive and similar to the first three months of 2024.

Current workloads continue to grow, and infrastructure continues to bloom like many other construction sectors worldwide, including the United States. Infrastructure projects’ strongest growth areas are estimated to be energy and transportation.

Skills and general labour shortages are the two critical factors identified that are holding back market activity.

RICS-CIQS Canada Construction Monitor is a quarterly guide to the trends in the construction and infrastructure markets.
